Thanksgiving 2010 at the Clement Casa

Hey guys,

sooo my first Thanksgiving in the States was AWESOME! It was sooo delicious and fun. I was stuffed for like 4-5 days. SOOO MUCH FOOD and it was SO GOOD! I was at the Clement Casa in Lowell, MA which was pretty awesome. I had tons of fun and met alot of people (I dont even remember all the names, me sorry).
I picked up Lena that night also. We went shopping to the mall in Nashua, NH bc it was Black Friday. Pretty awesome sales. We shopped till we dropped.... lol After 6 hrs of power shopping we went back home and made Burritos and a couple drinks. We actually planed going out but we were sooo done from the shopping tour lol.
Thats was pretty much it. Lena stayed till sunday. Oh we also planed our trip to NYC. Cant wait for the 17./18. December to come up! ;o)

Huhuuu meine Lieben,

mein erstes Thanksgiving in den Staaten war der HAAAMMER!!! Es war sooo verdammt lecker und witzig.
Ich glaub ich war voll für die folgenden 4-5 Tage lol. SOOO VIEL Essen und es war SO GUT. Ich war bei den Clements in Lowell, MA was wirklich supi cool war. Hatte wie gesagt super viel Spass und hab jede Menge Leute kennengelernt (alle Namen konnt ich mir natürlich behalten, sorry).
Dann hab ich Lena noch Abends abgeholt. Wir sind dann morgens nach Nashua, NH, in die mall gefahren, weil Black Friday war, und das heißt jede Menge Angebote und Rabatte. Es wurde geshoppt bis wir nicht mehr konnten, nach 6 Std. Shoppingmarathon sind wir dann heim. Haben Burritos gemacht und hatten ein paar Drinks. Lenchen blieb dann bis Sonntag. Ahh wir haben auch unseren Trip nach NYC geplant, kann es kaum erwarten. Fahren übers 3. Adventswochenende runter. Juhuuuu... ;o)

Finding myself...

Well this post, is something different. Different because its about my inner feelings. And I just wanted to let them out.

I got lost. Im on my way to find myself. If someone know where Im at, please let me know...

I think the most decisive factor for this, was when a very special part of my life left my side. I was broken. I cried myself asleep every night for years. Never thought that something like this could happen to me. But dont we always think, "Oh man, this is not gonna happen to me" and then baaam right in your face. Of course when I think back, no one, and seriously NO ONE can replace you. I still cant say that I hate you, because I loved you to much. Im still hurting when I see you. I cant change the past, I cant take any words that were said. I hope you have a great life. I miss you. (and no its not an EX)

BUT:

I think this journey brings me back to what I am, what I used to be and for what Im going to be.
And guess what, I really enjoy finding myself. New experience, adventures, yea and my independence. I discover everyday something new. Im getting my self-confidence back, that I lost years ago.
Im moving forward.
Yay me for slowly finding mysef back. And a BIG thank you for those people whoare still by my side eventhough Im million miles away (well actually you guys are million miles away).
I really appreciate that.

Its been only 6 weeks now, and Im really looking forward to the future, to new people, new (and of course old) friends, new places, new adventures and a new/old me, myself and I.

I know what I am, and no one can take that away from me.

Simply love it...

My One-in-a-million

So my loved ones,

since my wonderful Sam dedicated her last blog to me, I have to dedicate a blog to her aswell.

Where do I start!?
Well Ive met this crazy chick on New Years 2007-2008. Hanging out at Murphys, Irish Pub or James Joyce with our fav. people. Meeting guys, felt for them, got heartbroken, met new people, went through alot of gossip, fake people and last but not least DRAMA.
BUT we also had awesome times like unforgettable roadtrips, parties, ink dates, talks, laughs and inside jokes. Wonderful memories I can share with you.

You are one of those people who will always, no matter what, have place in my heart (and skin).
You have been always by my side, even when times got rough.
You are the one that is still by my side eventhough Im million miles away.

I just wanna say THANK YOU for being who you are when you are with me, and that I can be myself when Im with you. Thats what I call a real friendship.

I could go on and go on, but I dont wanna get to cheezy... lol

1 month down - RESUME

Hi guys,

wow its been awhile... 1 month is already down and there are 12 more to go...
Im finally getting used to everything and really like it here. We had 2 cluster meetings. Which were helpful and I also got to meet the other Aupairs. Girls all over the world, but mostly from Germany.
Ive made a few trips, I got to see Boston with a really qualified cityguide. ;o) Special thanks to Desirae again. Toooo bad is was so freaking cold and rainy. ;o) And I went also on a roadtrip with Lena. We went up the coast from Massachusetts to Maine. It was amazing. We really felt for this area. It was like a vacation for us. We started in Cambridge, where I picked her up, then we crossed the boarder to New Hampshire and visited Seabrook Beach and Hampton Beach up drove the Route 1 on the coast to Portsmouth, stayed there for like 1 hrs and drove up over the boarder to Maine till Portland and stayed there over night. It was a real fun weekend. We took a million of wonderful pictures.
Now Im really looking forward to Thanksgiving. I got the pleasure to spend it with the Clement Family. OOOOHHHH and to Black Friday (SHOPPIIIIING) ;o)))

Juhuuu meine Lieben,

puh war ja schon ewig nicht mehr hier... ;o) 1 Monat habe ich schon hinter mir und 12 weitere warten noch auf mich. ;o) So langsam gewöhne ich mich an alles und mag es hier. Es fanden bereits schon 2 Cluster Meetings statt. Sie sind sehr hilfreich und man lernt alle Aupairs in der Umgebung kennen. Mädels aus der ganzen Welt, aber die meisten sind aus Deutschland. ;o)
Ein paar Trips hab ich auch schon gemacht, der erste ging in die Innenstadt von Boston, ich hatte einen super Stadtführer, speziellen Dank nochmal an Desriae. ;o)
Desweiteren haben wir (Lena und ich) nen Roadtrip, die Küste hoch nach Maine gemacht. Es war wunderschön. In Cambridge habe ich sie abgeholt, nach der Grenze zu New Hampshire sind wir zum Seabrook Beach und Hampton Beach, Richtung Portsmouth gefahren, nachdem wir ne Stunde durch Portsmouth gefahren sind, ging es weiter nach über die Grenze nach Maine nach Portland. Der Trip war wunderwunderschön, wir haben glaub ich ne Millionen Bilder gemacht... ;o)))
Naja, jetzt freue ich mich erstmal auf Thanksgiving dass ich der Familie Clement verbringen werde.
OOOHHHH und auf den Black Friday (SHOPPIIIIING) ;o)))

Sooo ladies and gentlemen,

I made it safe. Flight in on Monday to JFK New York, had Orientation till yesterday, went on the train to my family in billerica, ma. My train stop was Boston, back bay. Tristan, my host dad, picked me up.
After 30 minutes we finally arrived my new home. Shelly, my host mom and Cody, the baby Im going to take care of, were still awake. So I FINALLY got to meet the little munchkin! yay

After eating and showing around the house, I passed out on my bed. I really love my room, the house and the family. Im really happy and relieved.

I also went to New York City on Wednesday, we had a tour through the whole city (rockefeller center, ground zero, broadway, madison square garden, central park). I still cant believe it, it was sooo amazing!


Hallo meine Lieben,

ich habe es sicher in die Staaten geschafft. Bin aufm JFK in New York am Montag gelandet. Hatte nen super Flug, kann British Airways nur empfehlen! Hatte die Orietation bis gestern, dann ging es ab in den Zug, und in Boston angekommen wurde ich von meinem Gastvater Tristan abgeholt. Nach 30 Minuten sind wir endlich in meinem neuen zuhause angekommen. Shelly, meine Gastmutter, und Cody, der Zwerg auf den ich aufpasse, waren zum Glück noch wach. ENDLICH durfte ich den kleinen Zwergi kennenlernen.

Nachm Essen und Hausführung, hab ich es gerad noch so geschafft die Email zu lesen, und bin dann eingeschlafen. Mein Zimmer, das Haus und die Familie sind wirklich sehr nett und toll. Ich bin wirklich froh und erleichert.

Nicht zu vergessen am Montag ging es nach NEW YORK CITYYYY! Wir hatten ne Stadttour wo ich auf das Rockfeller Center hochdurfte, sowie den Ground Zero, Broadway, Madison Square Garden und Central Park sehen durfte. ICH LIEBE DIESE STADT!!!!

Whats up people!?
Like I said, the time is running, only 5 more days and a wake up.
Im upper excited, but on the other hand Im going to miss my amazing family and friends.
Only 2 more work days and Im done. Kinda weird. lol
Well a few days ago I met the girls Im going to fly with. Really lovely people.
Im really looking forward to meet them in person.

So Leute, wie ichs schon gesagt habe, die Zeit rennt. Nur noch 5 ma schlafen und aufstehen, dann gehts loooos. ;o) Ich bin super aufgeregt, aber denoch werde ich meine wundervolle Familie und Freunde sehr vermissen.
Auch muss ich nur noch 2 mal im Murphys arbeiten. I-wie komisch. lol
Letzte Woche hab ich die Mädels kennengelernt, mit denen ich von Frankfurt aus starten werde,
sehr nette Mädels. Freue mich schon sie persönlich kennenzulernen.

So Ladies and Gentlemen,


the time is running, only 16 days and a wake up, and Im flying out to the US of A. Im looking forward to awesome 13 month where Im going to meet new people, cultures and countries! Im really excited, but Im pretty sure that Im going to miss all of you! So I thought I start this blog, so everybody can follow (not stalk) me, what Im doing and where Im currently at.

die Zeit rennt, nur noch 16 Tage und ein Augenaufschlag und ich bin aufm Weg in die Staaten. Ich freue mich auf 13 Monate, in denen ich neue Leute, Kulturen und Länder kennenlerne. Ich bin suuuuper aufgeregt und werde euch alle gaaanz dolle vermissen! Hab gedacht ich starte den Blog hier, dass ihr alle immer sehen könnt, wie es mir geht, wo ich bin und was ich mache.
